Tap & Print is operated by Smart Mobile Apps FZCO ("Tap & Print", "we", "us"), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy describes what information the Tap & Print application for iPhone and iPad (the "App") and the website smart-mobile-apps.com (the "Site") collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is written to be read together with our Terms of Use.
Everything you print, scan or edit in Tap & Print — photos, documents, web pages, contacts, scans — is processed locally on your iPhone or iPad. When you print, the content travels directly from your device to the printer you choose over your own network. We do not collect, receive, store, view or share:
— the content of anything you print, scan, edit or preview;
— your photos, files, contacts, calendars, emails or clipboard contents;
— the names of your documents or the text they contain.
The App works without registration: no account is required, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. We cannot sell, rent or disclose content that never reaches us.
To prepare content for printing, the App asks for access to certain data on your device — and only when you initiate the corresponding action:
— Photos, to let you pick pictures to print;
— Camera, to scan paper documents into PDF;
— Contacts, to print a contact sheet;
— Files and iCloud Drive, to print documents you select;
— Clipboard, web pages and files shared from other apps, when you choose to print them.
In every case the content is read on your device, prepared for printing on your device, and sent only to your printer. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings; the App keeps working with the sources you allow.
You can optionally connect Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive to print files stored there. You sign in directly with the provider; we never see your password. The App receives an access token, which is stored on your device only, and downloads the files you pick to your device for printing. We do not copy your cloud files to our servers, and we do not browse your cloud storage beyond the folders you open. You can disconnect a cloud service in the App at any time. Your use of these services is governed by their own privacy policies.
Apart from the purchase and notification records described in "Subscriptions and payments" and "Notifications", we collect a limited amount of technical, non-personal statistics to keep the App working well and improve it:
— app diagnostics: app version, crash reports, error and print success/failure counts;
— device technical information: device model, operating system version, app language, and coarse region (country level);
— aggregated usage statistics: which app features are used and how often — for example, the number of print jobs or the printer brand, never the content or names of the documents you print.
— statistics about notifications and offers, kept under a pseudonymous code of the subscription transaction for one year.
These statistics are not tied to your name or identity and are used solely for analytics, stability and improving the App. We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
The App shows no third-party advertising. It does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites of other companies. To learn which of our Apple Ads campaigns led to an installation, the App uses Apple's AdServices framework: iOS issues an attribution token, the App sends it to Apple, and Apple returns campaign-level information (for example, the campaign and the search keyword) without identifying you. We keep this campaign information with the technical statistics described above.
Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and are billed to your Apple Account. Payments are processed entirely by Apple: we never receive or see your payment card details, billing address or Apple ID credentials. We receive only the transaction information necessary to activate and maintain your subscription (an anonymized receipt and subscription status).
If you ask Apple for a refund for a purchase made in the App, Apple may ask us for information that helps it decide. In that case we provide Apple with anonymized details of that purchase only: the date and price, the status of the subscription, whether and to what extent the Premium features were used, and the history of purchases and refunds inside this App. We do not send your name, email or postal address, payment details, your documents, or any record of what you print or do in the App. Apple makes the refund decision. Your agreement to our Terms of Use is your consent to this exchange. You may object by writing to the contact address below: if your message reaches us before we have replied to Apple, we do not send this information. Apple allows only a short time to reply, so a message may arrive after the answer has already been sent.
If you buy a print pack, the App sends our server the App Store transaction number of that purchase and the number of prints you have used from the pack. We keep only that transaction number, the product, the pack size, the purchase date and the number of prints used — no device identifiers and nothing about what you print. We use this record to answer Apple's requests about a refund of that pack and, only as aggregated counts, to understand how print packs are used and improve the App. We delete it one year after the purchase.
If you allow notifications, the App sends our server the push token that Apple issues for delivering notifications to the App on your device, together with your current subscription transaction (if you have one), the App language, your time zone and the App version. We use them to send you notifications about your subscription and offers; your time zone lets us send them at a reasonable local time, and your device shows the text in your App language. You can turn off "Tips & offers" in the App settings or turn off notifications for the App in iOS Settings at any time. We delete the record when Apple reports that the token is no longer valid, or after 120 days without contact from the App. We keep a log of the notifications we planned and sent, linked to the subscription transaction rather than to the token, for one year.
When you open a special offer, the App sends our server your App Store subscription transaction so that we can check it and sign the offer for Apple. We keep a log of signed offers, linked to a pseudonymous code of the transaction instead of the transaction number, for one year.
The purchase and notification records described above are stored on our server in the United States (Amazon Web Services). Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, requested address and user agent (app and system version) — for up to 15 days for security and troubleshooting. We do not store IP addresses with the purchase or notification records.
We use a small number of third-party providers to process data on our behalf: analytics and crash reporting, install attribution, subscription management, hosting of our server (Amazon Web Services) and delivery of notifications (Apple Push Notification service). These providers are contractually limited to processing such data for us and may not use it for their own purposes. A current list of providers is available on request via the contact below.
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws (including the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. We do not hold your name, email address or account. The purchase, notification and offer records described above are tied to an App Store transaction number, a pseudonymous code of it, or a push token — not to your name. To have them deleted earlier, write to us with the transaction number from your App Store receipt. A notification record without a subscription cannot be found by a transaction number: turn off notifications, and it is deleted after 120 days. If you contact our support by email, we will use your address only to respond and will delete it on request within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Purchasing a subscription requires the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
Your documents never leave your device except on their way to your printer or as part of using your own cloud accounts. The purchase and notification records and the limited technical statistics we collect are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with industry-standard safeguards.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, with the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or on the Site.
